Just a shout out to those who wonder about us

There is so much I want to tell you...little things, bigger things, random things...even some humor, but the internet is so slow and unreliable and time is a precious commodity. It's not that we're so busy doing great things, it's just that life passes by as we do the necessary, the simple, the frustrating, and everything in between.

Things are quiet for the most part because only our family and a few other people are on the property. All the students went home for the month long holiday. Most teachers went home. Only the security guard, Lawrence, one teacher and her 3 kids who have no home to return to, and the matron and her 7 month old who also have no home to return to. We have some day workers coming around to help with certain things, but other than that, it's just us.

It's nice because I've had good conversations with those who are there and we're trying to get a lot done before the kids return. Just yesterday, Makline (the Matron), came to the house with the Bible I gave her. Before the holiday, I challenged each woman to choose a book of the Bible to read over the holiday. Makline chose Zechariah. She had come to ask me for help because there was one verse that she just couldn't make sense of. We sat on the veranda and discussed that verse, as well as some other Bible stories she had heard but never read for herself. It was great!

Anyway, as I'm typing, Floyd is literally standing at the door waiting for me, as we have to go see another worker about another topic. So, this is just a quick shout out to say we're good. I'll post some fun stuff and an update ASAP. Hopefully, this week, but definitely by next week.

For now, we hope all is well with you.
