As if we weren't blessed enough already!

The Lord has provided for all of our needs here in Uganda and our support team is strong and steady. We are so thankful for every person that lifts us in prayer, supports us financially, sent treats and other things with Rafe and the mission team, and those who read our blog and encourage us through their comments and kind words.
As if all that were not enough, we have been given an unexpected opportunity. When we left the US for Uganda, we thought it would be at least 2 years before we could return for a visit, but that was not the Lord's plan. He provided the funding and the low cost airfare tickets to allow us to come to the US this year. We will arrive at DFW on September 22 and stay for 6 weeks!

We already have a place to stay, but are still needing a vehicle that we could borrow. Let us know if you can help with that.

Several friends responded to a post on Facebook requesting school supplies. The good news is that I'll be there to receive them in less than a month. I think you'll be able to drop them off at Christ Fellowship before September, but either way, you won't have to try to ship them to us. :)

In addition to the school supplies, I'm posting a list of the things that we'd love to receive to bring back to Uganda with us. Keep in mind that we have limited luggage allowances, so we're not asking for a truck load, and they are all things that would just improve the experience of our students. Don't feel any pressure, but let us know if you would can help with any of these things.

WISH LIST:

mega bloks (these are like legos, but they are less expensive and really big)
children's reading books, especially the board books that are made for toddlers
small puzzles (like the ones made for toddlers or young kids with few pieces)
coloring books
word search books (especially ones made for kids)
hot wheels cars (they don't have to be name brand, but any little metal cars would be great)
glue (like Elmer's or glue sticks)
pocket folders (with or without brads)
crayons
printing paper
mechanical pencils

A PROJECTOR (I'm telling you about this in case you have a personal or business contact that may be able to donate a new or used projector - we just need it to work with our computer.)
