Dry season is almost over...

It seems that when the end of dry season is drawing near, you get a few big rains and then another week or two (at least) of dry season, and then rainy season begins. We've had dry season for a while now. To be truthful, I have no idea how long, but I'm thinking it only lasted about a month or so. The El Nino pattern spared us from the usual 2-3 months of horribly hot dry season.

Now, last Saturday I was in a classroom with a young girl that was taking an exam to see what class she'd be in for the next year. Her mom had brought her to see about registering to attend our school. As we sat in that room, a good little rain shower came out of nowhere. I had to take a video just so you could hear how loud it was in that classroom! I can only imagine how distracted most students in the US would be.

Now, the next day, we had an even bigger surprise. An even heavier rain storm came in quick and strong. This time, we were at home and we quickly saw that there was a back-up in our water system. Of course, I had to get a little video again. :)

Fortunately, not long after this video, Floyd was able to reach down to the main drain area. A bunch of leaves had run off the gutters and were blocking the drain. Once he got the leaves out of the way, more water actually made it into the cistern,
