New swings!!

When we built the swings at Wells of Joy, we used the equipment that was available in country. The seats were made of a thick piece of wood. It worked really well and was very safe and sturdy for swinging. Unfortunately, we soon realized that it was not so safe for the by-standers that got too close to the swings. Also, while you might think the heaviness of the seats would make it harder to swing, once the kids figured out how to get momentum, the weight made it possible for them to swing extra high.
After hearing about some trips to the doctor for stitches and some kids getting the wind knocked out of them, a life group from Christ Fellowship wanted to make the swings safer. They generously donated beautiful rubber seats (or is it plastic??) to replace the big wooden ones.

Floyd and Henry were able to get them changed in a few short hours once there was electricity.

Floyd had to be the tester to ensure that each one was secure.
They are beautiful!

And, more importantly, the kids love them.

Even the littlest ones.
These 2 are so little and new to our ministry, so they weren't sure what the camera actually was,.
As soon as the camera went away, they were all smiles and giggles.

Since I didn’t ask their permission, I won’t say whose life group it was, but if any of the members are reading – THANK YOU!!!!
