Fun snippets of our new journey

*On our first day in PP, we took the boys to a supermarket for their first time to buy soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and other things that we had to have but didn't pack (why waste the weight allowance on stuff you can buy anywhere?).

*Troy so badly wanted to go to the KFC here because we liked the KFC in Kampala and he wondered if they were similar. So, on our 2nd day we went for dinner. It was also Valentine's Day (not a big thing here, but there are hints of it around). As I paid for the food, the cashier handed me this rose and said, "Happy Valentine's Day."

* We got here 2 days before the Chinese New Year, so when we were trying to find a house and stuff to put in it, many people were celebrating. These little shrines are very common and they were full of all the offerings for the new year and burning incense.

*When we came down from our hotel room, this table was set up right in front of the elevator.

*There is one quick and easy to locate place that saved our hungry tummy's many times before we got a home - The Pizza Company. It takes great - like Pizza Hut during my childhood! On this day, we stopped for lunch with our friend Don who drives a tuktuk and is a great translator.
