making a thumb print...

I don't remember any time in the US that we signed documents with our thumb print, but I'm thinking it may have happened at some point. So, I took these pics of our process for the signing the lease.
The best part was that they kept having Floyd practice his thumb print because they said he wasn't doing it right. First, they'd say it was too hard, then not hard enough. It wasn't as easy as you might expect. Also, you had to thumb print a copy for each person plus put your thumb print anywhere that there was a hand written correction or note added to the lease.


And, finally, you put a thumb print going across the edge of all the pages.
Then, for the rest of the day, everyone knew you had signed something.
