noteworthy things...

This post is just a random collection of things that were noteworthy enough to snap a pic. Either they are amusing, interesting, or just different.
Balance is a necessity. This got even crazier when both guys were on the ladder and nobody was holding it.

Anything can be repurposed, including this peanut butter jar that is now a drinking container with a straw.

This lovely fountain is in the courtyard of the local pizza company.

We live near a wat (Buddhist temple), so when you turn on the road to our neighborhood, you go through this fancy entryway. It is handy to tell a local driver how to get to our place because you just ask if they know the specific wat.
What was once a road becomes a trash burning area, but the local GPS system still thinks it's a road. Oops! Just one example of the random routes I've been down that didn't turn out well.

Just like in Uganda, you can carry anything on a moto.
And there's no limit to what you can carry on a vehicle.

I took the boys to a local cafe while Floyd was out of town. On the list of hamburgers, they had a ham & cheese burger. Troy ordered it thinking it was a burger with ham & cheese added (like bacon & cheese). Instead he got ham & cheese on a hamburger bun. It was more amusing because the menu had a ham & cheese sandwich on it. Apparently the bun makes it a burger. :)
In most places, you cannot flush toilet paper. I spared you from the picture of the trash cans where you deposit your used toilet paper in each bathroom. :) Surprisingly, there really isn't a smell from the trash.

When visiting a public place, you can literally just park in the street. In this case, the left car and center car are both parked. The car on the right is passing by. The busier places get, the more cars are lined up in the street.

The same is true in parking garages; when the spots are full, they just create new rows. In order for people to leave when they want, if you park in the street or behind other cars, you leave your car in neutral. Then when someone wants to go, they just push your car out of the way. Here's Floyd with the parking attendant pushing a car out of the way from behind our parked car.
