One of the best things in life...

One of the best things in life is being with your people. I'm thinking that it has to be a common feeling for people all over the world.  I'm sure for some, "your people" are not necessarily related by blood, but you no who they are.
In my case, my family definitely all fit into the category in addition to many friends, but based on the simple facts of our life, we don't get to be together as much as we'd like. With our daughter now living in the states, having all my kids together in one place is not the normal anymore. So, when she flew out here to Cambodia to stay with us for a month, it was a fabulous time.

the airport pick up was so exciting!!!
after catching up on sleep, we enjoyed a family game of Phase 10!

Since I was so busy with language training, some work, and enjoying our time together, I didn't post any blogs. Of course, since she was in town, we did a lot of things that we had purposely waited to do until we were all together.
I'm going to work on sharing all the awesome things for the sake of having the memories on this blog but also because you might enjoying learning about some of them. And, who knows, you might even be convinced to come and visit us yourself. :)
On her second day here, we already had plans with our friends, the Phifers. It was Spring Break and Khmer New Year, so the city was pretty much abandoned. That means no traffic and no crowds any where you want to go. So, we went to Kid City (we hadn't been but the Phifers knew about it and had discount passes).
We all played laser tag together and then the kids enjoyed the climbing room. Here are some pics and a video.
Raegan's first climb

Troy started with a really hard one.

Tyler made it up as well.

Raegan made it up another.

On this one, you start on the smallest pole and step up one at a time.
Luke made it to the top, even though he started getting nervous half way up.

Tyler made it to.

And Raegan.

Luke's turn.

Troy really liked this one, especially since he wants to be a high voltage lineman.

This was particularly amusing because the wall is actually soft. As one person pulls, the whole thing wibbles and wobbles. Luke stopped climbing and just started trying to shake Tyler off the other side.

Luke, again.

There were so many different things to try, I've only showed you a small fraction. The video below is definitely worth a watch. Please forgive my loud laughing and shouting in excitement. It just happens. :)

After all this and pizza for lunch, I had to get something at a store in the mall. All 4 kids were ready to nap.
