For well over a month, Floyd has been leading the worship team from Shalom as they prepared for a night of worship. We have several people that volunteer to lead worship on Sundays and they all came together on this special event. Even Raegan joined in as a vocalist.
Our friend John Phifer coordinated with a local company called Century 9 to cater dinner - it was a Texas BBQ theme (smoked chicken, pulled pork, baked beans, mac n cheese, and fresh made dinner rolls).
Announcements were shared on Facebook and regular members invited their friends and co-workers. We had over 100 people RSVP!
Tonight was the night and everything worked out well. The worship team did 12 songs, the pastor shared a short message on Luke 14:25-35, and we finished the night with food and fellowship while a little rain came down.
