our new home (part 1)

Oddly enough, we gave the deposit and started moving into the house on February 16th, but we just finished negotiating and signed a 2 year lease yesterday (February 28th).
Once we chose a house, we had to get it cleaned. Which meant a trip to the store for all the cleaning supplies.

Fortunately, this house came with curtains on pretty much every window. That in itself was a huge savings for us and we happen to like them just fine. They are the same curtains throughout the house, but the floral design woven into the fabric has a subtle difference on each floor. On the first floor of the house, it's a brown color. On the 2nd floor, it's red and on the 3rd floor, it's green.
These are the brown ones on the first floor.
This house also has a small air-con in each bedroom and the living room. We use the ones in the bedrooms at night, but we've never turned on the one in the living room. We're trying to make do with oscillating fans. :) Also, each shower has a little electronic device that warms up the water. That hasn't been too big of a deal because it's so hot and humid here, that a hot shower doesn't even sound appealing. Just lukewarm is fine.
This is one of  the water heater devices.

Fortunately, the house also came with a fridge, washing machine, and drying rack. After several days in a hotel, we had to quickly on top of the mounting laundry.

Even with limited furniture, the boys still found a place to sit.

I don't think that ledge was made for that. ;)

Move on to Part 2 and I'll give you a look inside.
